How to make the best antioxidant smoothie using coconut oil

For some, the holidays lead to a lot of stress, whether that be due to office parties, hosting family, or buying gifts. All that extra stress and can lead to burnout that you may still be recovering from even into this new year.

Understanding antioxidants

Adding antioxidants to your diet can help your body deal with the physical and emotional inflammation, naturally. As a result, antioxidant foods are good for your heart health and may lower your risk of certain forms of cancer and infections.

Antioxidants are most commonly found in nutes, seeds, legumes, vegetables and fruits such as berries (strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries). Buying a frozen mix of organic berries provides variety and cost savings, since fresh berries can be pricey during growing off seasons.
