Cooking with coconut oil: guilt-free peanut butter dip

Do you often have the urge to snack? Don’t reach for greasy potato chips or something that will ruin all of the hard work you've put into your body today. Instead, try a twist on the classic snack: peanut butter and fruit!

Though peanut butter has been a part of snacks for years it’s not exactly calorie-free. One tablespoon of it is actually about 94 calories, which can really add up if you are being generous with your dip. But, no worries; we have an answer to your snacking needs.

Creamy peanut butter dip

This delicious dip is great with apples, bananas, grapes, pears, or pretty much any fruit of your choosing.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons all-natural peanut butter

1 tablespoon Skinny Coconut Oil

¾ - 1 cup nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt

⅛ - ¼ teaspoon cinnamon

½ tablespoon maple syrup (optional)

Directions

  1. Mix all of the ingredients in a small mixing bowl.
  2. Serve with your choice of bite sized fruit!
  3. If you have any unused dip, store it in the refrigerator in an air-tight container.

Final thoughts

On top of being an incredibly quick and easy dish to whip up with ingredients you likely already have in the kitchen, this dip is great for parties or just to have on hand for an after school or summer snack.
